Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/3 cup pizza sauce
  • 2/3 cup pizza blend shredded cheese (or any cheese you like)
  • Toppings of your choice: pepperoni, sausage, ground beef, Canadian bacon, onions, peppers, mushrooms, olives, pineapple etc.

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Add the flour, baking powder, salt and garlic powder to a mixing bowl and whisk. Add in the milk and olive oil and mix until a soft dough is formed. You may need to use your hands at some point to mix the dough.
If the dough is very dry, add another tablespoon of milk at a time and mix again. The dough should not be so moistened that it becomes sticky. If it's too sticky, add in a teaspoon of flour and mix again.
  • Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and form it into a ball.
  • Roll the dough ball into a 6-8 inch circle depending on how thick or thin you want the crust. You can use a rolling pin or your hands to mash it into a rough circle.
You might need to sprinkle a little flour on the dough if it gets sticky. Once rolled out, transfer to a baking sheet or pizza pan that's lined with parchment paper.
  • To the dough, add pizza sauce, the amount of cheese you want, then the toppings of your choice.
  • Bake at 400 degrees F for 20-28 minutes depending on how crispy you want the crust. The crust will become golden brown. Use a spatula to lift up the crust to check how brown it is on the bottom.
  • Cool the pizza just a bit before trying to cut it.
